Overview

Communicates and assists servers in organizing food orders and delivering prepared food items to the customer to maintain service efficiency and ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

In accordance with RA Sushi’s service and cooking procedures:

  • Coordinates food delivery between sushi and kitchen departments, assuring that all food delivered is prepared the correct way.

  • Communicates and assists with the back of the house staff to coordinate ordering.

  • Delivers food to customer in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Assists customers with special requests to ensure they enjoy their food and their experience at RA Sushi.

  • Removes dirty dishes, silverware and any debris from customer tables and sushi bar seating between courses and after customer has left. Returns dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware carefully to dishwashing and/or bar area.

  • Checks restrooms on a routine schedule to maintain cleanliness. Reports any restroom problems to management immediately.

  • Support the restaurant when special situations arise and provide assistance.

  • Both front of the house, patio, and service area should be spotless as confirmed by a manager prior to clocking out.

  • Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.

  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards, observe proper food preparation and handling techniques as outlined in the Kitchen Guide and Employee Handbook.

  • Follows all federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations outlined by the General Manager and the Employee Handbook.

  • Keep work area neat, organized and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Must be 18 years of age.
